This three-row, 48-horse carousel dates back to 1922 when it was first installed in Youngstown, Ohio. It was purchased by the Walenta family, developers of Empire Fulton Ferry State Park where it now sits, in 1983 after it was almost disassembled, and painstakingly restored to gleaming, functional shape by Jane Walentas.
