Malham is located within the Yorkshire Dales National Park, one of Yorkshire's most impressive natural areas. A benefit of camping in Malham is that you can explore some of the most beautiful spots in the whole national park on foot: Janet's Foss Waterfall, Malham Cove, Malham Tarn, and Gordale Scar.

Other than the local pubs & cafes in Malham Village the nearest shops for provisions are The Farm Shop in Airton, less than 2 miles or Settle which is 6 miles away. For local food, bacon, sausages, bread, milk, free range eggs and much more visit Town End Farm Shop.

Riverside Campsite Malham Cove is a centrally positioned site, situated amid rolling countryside, a mere 5-minute stroll from the picturesque village of Malham. Malham Cove, a magnificent curved cliff made of limestone rock, rests a short trot away, opening up the chance to pop in and gaze up at this attraction that continues to draw in.

The walk round to Janet's Foss, up Gordale Scar waterfall and then back over Malham Cove is one of my favourites (3 to 4 hours). There is also a fantastic walk to Settle along Stockwell Lane. Over 12 miles round trip and up and over the moor. Malham gets very busy at weekends but this is still one of my favourite campsites because of the location.
